In the eastern Mediterranean, on the west coast of Turkey, near Bodrum, there is a headland projecting into the sea. The architecture studio Ferrater, faced with the dilemma of whether to build a monument on top of the headland, the idea of monumentalizing the site is born.
The legacy and the presence throughout history of fortresses, citadels, temples and monasteries have helped construct the landscape of the Mediterranean. For this Resort, the choice verted on the idea to play with the dichotomies like full and empty, open and close, high and low. An idea that bring to the realization on a Villa with a volumetric layout complex and scenographic, that adapts itself to the slopes of the hills where it stands.
In this extraordinary building, Interni fits with the experience that only who grew up with the italian design culture can express. The interiorS are warm and comfortable, and this feeling is trasmitted by different features: like the use of neutral and bright colours, the choice of soft and cozy fabrics, or the choice of materials like the wood with its own personality.
For the outdoor we used brands like Tribù, from which we choosed the unique design of the Armchair Tosca or the wooden lanterns of different heights, or for example the side table and the outdoor dining table in solid wood by Exteta
Even in the baby room everything was studied in details, and the design’s was explained not only in the furnishings but also in the choice of the complements and the objects suggested like the horse rocking chair in wood, designed by Pininfarina for Riva 1920, or the wooden dolls designed by Alexander Girard for Vitra.
